Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh has a particular place in my heart. I went there on February 2019 to start a volunteering work at Sonlight Kindergarden for 3 months, teaching english to adorable kids. I prepared this trip with a lot of excitement as it was my first humanitarian project that I decided to join by myself.
From touristic places to the most underground ones, I've discovered the city for few months, met amazing friends from all nationalities, and spent an incredible time at the school with the kids, my beautiful teacher and all the locals working there. It was the perfect way to dip into the fascinating Khmer culture.

At the Russian market area where I was living, there are plenty colourful shops mixed with healthy restaurants with gardens (Eleven was one of my favourite), bars offering cheap beers (only 1$ the pint !) or nice view (Sundown), a huge market selling everything from food to cloth and souvenirs, a beautiful temple and some hotels with chilled rooftop pools.
