Little Paradise.

Guatapé is probably the most popular day trip from Medellin.  This pretty little town is famous for its giant nearby rock El Penol and its brightly-colored streets, shops and plazas.

We found the perfect hostel offering views on El Penol and a lake where we were able to swim. For sunset, we decided to climb the 740 tricky steps to the top and were rewarded by panoramic view over lakes and islands. No need for more word, I will let you have a look on your own…
